Christine Vencato

Christine is Max’s wife and the latest addition to the team’s authors.  After a whirlwind wedding in August 2011 she is now expecting their first child, due on the 2nd May 2012 (he/she is a honeymoon baby!) They met at the gym after she became hooked on Bodypump, many years ago.  They became firm friends and the rest is history! Christine completed a degree in Theatre Design: Technical Arts Interpretation at Wimbledon School of Art.  On the surface it is far removed from the realms of health and fitness, but then following a passion is the way to a fulfilling life. Even though she runs websites for a living now, (including this one), her creative streak is expressed in design. Taking over from Max on the Pregnancy Tips category, she hopes to share some experiences and alleviate the fears that come with pregnancy and raising children.  This is motivated from scouring the internet for answers to common fears and finding out that some questions are not easily answered. Stay connected as she writes about various experiences and ways to keep healthy and happy throughout the wonderful journey that is...

Dr Massimo (Max) Vencato

Dr Massimo (Max) Vencato is the creator of Motivating Max, working to pack years of experience, research and expertise into a hub where everyone can find something that strikes a chord, helping to improve your life in small steps. Having completed a doctorate (PhD) in Sports and Exercise Psychology and a Degree in Sports Sciences (first class with honours), Massimo works today as a cardiac rehabilitation trainer and lecturer in Sports and Exercise Psychology at Brunel University London. For the last 7 years, he has also lectured on Principles of Sports Nutrition to students at The London School of Sports and Remedial Massage. He completed his doctoral degree (PhD) in health psychology on a project that addressed ways to curb physical inactivity. During this ten year programme of study, he developed a psychometric instrument and associated technology to measure physical activity from a behavioural-change perspective. With many fitness products and “gurus” flooding the web, it can be hard to choose which programme to follow and whether that “6-pack in 6 days” programme is going to work.  There is nothing that will replace a few months of disciplined diet and exercise regime to transform your body, but it needs to be a programme unique to you as what works for others may not be ideal for you. With this in mind, the intention of this site is to connect you to professionals that can help you achieve personal goals and to encourage you to live a truly fulfilling life.  Getting in touch is easy, just drop us a line at: http://www.motivatingmax.com/contact-us Big plans for the site are already in motion behind the scenes, including instructional videos and podcasts with leading professionals in the realms of sport, health, fitness and personal development.  Even inspirational talks with fascinating war heroes of 80+ years that are still coming to the gym.  This is all...
